exim paniclog /var/log/exim4/paniclog has non-zero size error

Hello guys, I started to use an Debian system on one of my VPSs ( I prefer CentOS, because I like Red Hat based systems ).

Well, I made a config on my VPS to send emails using my Gmail Account ( I have an Gmail account only to send this emails ).

In this VPS I use the EXIM4 ( to test, because all of my other machines have postfix ) using this simple tutorial.

But, when I restarted my Exim, I receive this error :

# /etc/init.d/exim4 restart

Stopping MTA for restart: exim4_listener.

Restarting MTA: exim4.

ALERT: exim paniclog /var/log/exim4/paniclog has non-zero size, mail system possibly broken failed!

You see this error everytime when exim4 starts and the paniclog is none-empty on a Debian / Ubuntu system.

To solve this :

rm /var/log/exim4/paniclog
